Vintage Lufkin No 382 (76) wood and brass folding ruler. An antique wood and brass folding ruler by Lufkin marked #382 (76). This is for a vintage wood and brass folding ruler. It has four bars that are 6” long each so it will expand to a total of 24”. The bars are just over 1\/2” wide. In addition to it's ruled numbers it is also marked with: “Lufkin”; “No 382 (76)”. All are very faint and hard to read. It is made up of four bars of marked wood with brass hinges and endcaps. There are brass pieces that edge all of the lengths. It has been well used and there is both heavy wear and some staining on the wood. Both on the outsides and the inside. Most of the numbers are worn off the outside. The inside is a bit easier to read and is more detailed than the exterior. The hinges all work smoothly and the brass has a nice aged patina. The two small metal locking spikes, at the brass head, are present. The one along the wooden lengths, near the folding hinges is still intact.

This is a beautiful old ruler that is still fully functional. Measure with elegance and style, or simply display it.
