Shakespeare's Bottom from Midsummer Night's Dream doll
Shakespeare's Bottom, stuffed toy. This is a soft sculpture doll of Bottom, the comic fool from William Shakespeare's " A Midsummer Night's Dream". The head of a donkey is on a soft, low plush human body. He is wearing a dark fabric kilt that is not removable. (I say "he" but the body has no anatomical details) There are pink underpants under the kilt. He also has a removable flower crown. The crown is a mix of faux flowers in tones of mostly blues and burgundy with pale blue ribbon. He sits well, but does not stand.
I live in the hamlet of Shakespeare, Ontario and couldn't resist making one of his most known characters!
Due to the plastic eyes, this is NOT suitable for small children.
He is around 12" (30 cm) long.
The base toys he was made from were found second-hand, but I am very picky about quality and condition.
