Browncoat ladies brown leather bomber jacket
Inspired by Firefly this is a Browncoat ladies bomber style jacket in brown leather, perfect for costume cosplay or everyday wear. It is salvaged vintage and the size tag is not readable but it would be a medium to large size.
The base jacket is a butter-soft dark brown woman's leather in a bomber or pilots style with a bit of Science-Fiction flair to the shape of the collar. The back has been decorated with a large hand-painted version of the Serenity ship insignia. A handmade and painted Browncoat patch on the right sleeve shows your allegiance. A small embroidered yin-yang is on the lower left back and a small, brown teddy patch is on the bottom of the right front pocket. (it should also be mentioned that these are nice, roomy pockets!)
The front and cuffs all close with large metal snaps. The waist-band is 40". It is 26" long from the bottom of the inside collar to the bottom of the waistband. The sleeves are 22" from the shoulder point. The bomber style gives quite a bit of room over the chest and it narrows to 48" wide at the bottom of the sleeves. Closed, the collar is a bit over 17". Please feel free to contact me if you want any other specific measurements.
It was made by The Olde Hide House in Acton Ontario. While it has almost no wear I would guess that it was made in the mid to late 90's and stored in excellent conditions because the quality of it's leather and manufacture, as well as the style, are in line with this brands products from that time period. (they were very high-end and all made in Canada but they have switched to lower-end imported pieces in the past decade)
