Agate Doll, found assemblage steampunk pendant
This one of a trio that I am calling “The Dolls”. This one is the Agate Doll. A salvaged, glass and foil bead hangs above a marbled egg. On the left side is a vintage agate drop in warm browns and on the right, a vintage dolls arm. A salvaged, german silver, rope 30” (76 cm) chain hangs from the top of the bead. The doll is about 3 1/2” (8.5 cm) long. The eggs came to me already painted, and I think they were probably made some time in the 70's. They are wooden inside and the marbling appears to be a mix of good quality enamel paints, possibly even automotive. While the marbling is very well done, it has the small bubbles, blank areas and cracks you would expect from this kind of hand-done finish.
I mostly work with salvaged, vintage and antique materials so it is rare that I can confirm what exactly they are made of. If I know for sure, I'll include it in the listing, but otherwise I can not tell you what is in all the components. For this reason I do not recommend any of my pieces for those with metal/chemical allergies/sensitivities OR children!
Please Note: I have tried to get pictures that are as colour accurate as possible but they may appear different than life on your monitor.
My jewellery pieces are all one-of-a-kind artworks and I can not make multiples of anything. It may be possible, depending on the design, for me to create something similar if a group is needed, but even then it will probably be a very limited number.
We have tried to do a “worst case” on the shipping prices, due to the variances in Canada Posts costs by location. We will refund any overcharges.
